Windows 10 Security Message
Issue: A File Loading Security Concern message is displayed when launching Civil 3D 2016 on a Windows 10 computer. Even though the user checkmarks Always load this application the dialog box continues to show up when launching Civil 3D 2016 at future times.
Checkmark Always load this application and click Load so that the feature will be enabled.
Solution: To avoid needing to repeatedly click Load, change a Trusted Locations setting:
- Right Click in the drawing area and on the shortcut menu click Options.
- On the File tab, expand the Trusted Locations folder.
- Rename the existing path of: “c:\program files\common files\autodesk shared\extensions 2016” by adding “\…” (Backslash dot dot dot) to the end of the path.
Click Ok to save the Trusted Locations changes.
